Arrival and Dismissal
Bus Drop Off
All students arriving by bus will enter the building through the school’s main entrances located at the front of the building. Students will be under supervision beginning at 8:45 am.

Kindergarten and Grade 1 Parent Drop Off
We open our doors for parent drop off at 8:45am.
Please do not drop off students prior to the designated times.
Parent drop-off will continue to be via car. Drive down Sunnyside Drive to the rear side of the building, near the dumpsters (see photo above).
Under no circumstances should you leave children unattended in your vehicle in the parking lot or drop-off area.
Preschool Drop Off
Starts at 9am
Students arriving for preschool should remain with their parents until the preschool staff greets them at the side preschool door.
Parents are only allowed to park in designated parking spaces. There is a parking lot near the fire station and on the main road.
Tardiness
Students are considered tardy when they arrive after 9:00 am.
Parents must accompany any student arriving at school after this time. Students and parents must report to the main office before going to their classroom.
Early Parent Dismissal
Students must present a note from a parent/guardian to be dismissed early. The person designated on the note must enter the school to pick up the student. At that time, they will sign the student out through the office before leaving. No student will be dismissed without an accompanying adult.
Dismissal Procedures
Parent pickup begins at 3:25pm.
Parent pickup will continue to be via car. Please proceed down Sunnyside Drive to the side of the building. If your child is not a standard parent pick up, a note is required stating that your child will be a parent pick up for that day.
Bus riders will exit the building through the school’s front doors, escorted by staff to waiting buses.
Taking a Different Bus
For safety purposes, students are not allowed to take different buses for any reason - day care, play, Brownies, etc.
Please be reminded that it is against state law to pass a school bus and/or school van when its lights are flashing. Therefore, parents dropping off or picking up students should never park in front of the building when buses and/or the school van are present.
