Whoo's Who!

At South Grafton Elementary School, we take tremendous pride in our students AND our staff. Check here often to learn more about the staff here at SGES. As a way to continue building relationships, all staff is interviewed by our students!

A special thank you to one of our first grade students, Chloe, who interviewed Mrs. Sutton and was our first student to do so without any assistance! Great job, Chloe!

What is your favorite child’s book?

My favorite children’s book has to be The Polar Express.

What made you choose your job?

I had some great teachers when I went to elementary school and I always wanted to be a teacher from when I was really little.

What is a secret talent you have that we don’t know?

I played the flute all four years of high school. I still have it today!

If you could have one superpower what would it be and why?

Not to fly but maybe to teleport. There’s a lot of places to see and I would get there a lot faster.

If you could go on a field trip anywhere, where would you go?

With my students: I’d probably go to an amusement park with my kids because Mr. Sutton is not a fan of amusement parks so I don’t get to go!

What do you love most about your job?

The thing I love most about my job is reading aloud to my kids. I love reading any kind of stories. I love Junie B; when I read it I feel like I am Junie B.

A special thank you to one of our Kindergarten students, Piper who interviewed Ms. Hamilton with tenacity and perseverance!

What made you choose the job you did?

Well, I love working with children and I love children’s books. I would like to write them and illustrate them myself one day.

What do you love best about your job?

I love reading all of these beautiful stories and sharing them with all of you guys!

If you could have a superpower what would it be? Why?

I think teleportation would be pretty cool; I could just think of a place and go there, wouldn’t that be great?

What is your favorite children’s book?

Oh goodness, I've got a lot of favorites but I am going to go with “In the Night Kitchen” by Maurice Sendak.

What is a secret talent you have that students may not know?

Well I can draw pretty good. I love drawing woodland creatures, I think I love drawing raccoons best.

If you could go to a field trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I think I would go to Tokyo Disneyworld because they have a very magical Beauty and the Beast ride and Beauty and the Beast is my favorite.

A special thank you to one of our Kindergarten students, Callen who interviewed Mrs. Dorazio and asked a ton of follow up questions!

What made you choose the job you did?

I’ve always wanted to be a teacher; even from the time I was in kindergarten. Probably because I love kids and I love being around kids and I love teaching kids how to read.

What do you love best about your job?

I love most making children happy; making them smile and hopefully making it so that they love coming to school.

If you could have a superpower what would it be? Why?

I think my superpower would be to freeze time; to make time stop so that my kids would stop getting older. Actually maybe that I could press rewind so that my kids could be little again!

What is your favorite children’s book?

I think I’m going to pick, Guess How Much I Love You; it's always been one of my favorites.

What is a secret talent you have that students may not know?

A secret talent that I have is I used to sing in a church and in a band!

If you could go to a field trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I think the New England Aquarium. (She then wowed us with her knowledge on whales and the proper way to pet certain fish so you don't get spiked!)

SGES would like to thank two of our Kindergarten students, Brynn and Nicholas for interviewing Mrs. Thebado for our Whoo's Who! They did a stellar job at asking the tough questions!

What made you choose your job?
I've been around children for a long time! I was one of ten so I had a lot of young children I took care of and always have loved working with kids.

What do you love best about your job?
I really love helping you all; helping the kids. I love helping them learn, helping them learn to how to read; helping them learn to be kind. And your smiles are the best!

If you could have a superpower what would it be? Why?
I would probably like to fly, that way I could go places really fast! If I wanted to go to the beach, I could just take off and be at the beach really fast.

What is your favorite children’s book?
I do love all Dr. Seuss books because I read them with my kids. I love the ones that rhyme and all of the silly ones like Hop on Pop.

What is a secret talent you have that students may not know?
- Mrs. T could not think of a talent but we interviewed a few friends in her class and they agreed that she is one of the nicest teachers around!

If you could go to a field trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Well I love animals so I'd probably go to the zoo or the aquarium!
