Melissa Wallace, Principal

I am excited to be part of this fantastic school community as the principal of South Grafton Elementary School. Previously, I worked for the Wachusett Regional School District where I was a K-5 principal for four years. Early childhood education is my passion as I was an integrated preschool teacher for 5 years and a kindergarten teacher for 15 years. I joined the West Boylston Public Schools as an assistant principal and special education team chairperson for five years. My philosophy through all my educational experiences is that kids deserve the best I got and I believe ALL students can learn in a loving and safe environment. My time at SGES is spent in the classrooms interacting with kids and celebrating their successes.

My family lives in Sterling, MA. My husband and I have three amazing children Ian, Jared and Gianna.  The children have very different careers including a research scientist, a nurse and a mason.  Their passion for their career is extraordinary. My husband and I are so proud of all their accomplishments.
